Dementia Action Alliance Update

The Fylde and Wyre Dementia Action Alliance (DAA) Steering Group met on Wednesday 24 February at Fylde Town Hall

We were pleased to welcome several new members to the group, representing statutory services, charities, not for profit services, businesses, volunteer groups, research organisations and individuals who are living with dementia. The diverse group of members, all of whom are passionate about making a difference in our communities for people with dementia and their carers, were very proactive in suggesting ways in which we can start to support the development of dementia friendly communities in Wyre and Fylde, taking individual and group actions to progress the work. Members undertook to sign up their groups and organisations to the local Fylde and Wyre DAA and create their own 3 point action plan (

Wyre and Fylde Community Network is leading the Fylde and Wyre Dementia Action Alliance and Michele Scott is Chair of the Steering Group. We would be keen to hear from you if you have an interest in this work and would like to know more about, or be involved with, the Fylde and Wyre DAA
